Morining all, relaxed business meeting at 9am (socially distanced coffee), then off to get drop the Mustang off at Wheels in Motion at Chesham to get the front end set up and hopefully cure the woeful tram lining I am experiecing.
Rest of the day is mainly calls and email aso should be able to work in the garden, its going to be blisteringly hot so will need to find some shade.

Morning, you beasts of the roads. Another day with the curtains closed to keep the heat out. It feels so counter-intuitive!

Today I have a call at 9, which I hope will be fruitful, and have planned on trying to get a coat of R222 on the Vantage. It's looking pretty bloody good for its couple of coats of Hydro Slock, so something to really give it that gorgeous wet depth will be good. I hope to thank @Heavenly for his waxy recommendation later.

We have some people around for drinks this evening, and the joyful thing about being limited to staying outside is that I need to do little more than shoo away all the spiders that think they need to build webs anywhere they bloody well please. Which mostly seems to be anywhere people want be. It's getting to the point where I need to start referring to large chunks of my garden as 'the occupied territories'. Perhaps the spiders feel the same way. "Eesh, those bloody people in my house!"
Good luck at 9am

Morning all, the trip to the inlaws moves ever closer.

Just starting my inlaw family revision on who’s married, who’s engaged, who’s no longer engaged, who’s pregnant, who’s baby is who’s and who is living with who. Hopefully the baby that is named after a magazine is wearing pink or blue so I can get it’s sex right.

If all of that is happening “within” the family, I assume you are heading to Norfolk :p

Yeah, if it is called, er, Marie-Claire or Chloe, then its probably mostly female, and if it is called Loaded or Esquire, it is probably mostly male. Grazia : female. Hello or OK - no idea.

In these situations I just say to everyone "Hello, Chief! How are things?" and then pretend to listen.

She’s called Harper.

Razzle would be a great boys name, very Jonny Cash

It all changes so regularly doesn’t really matter if I listen. In the last year, there’s been 2 engagements, 2 un-engagements, 2 new babies, 2 movings in, 1 move out, 1 wedding which didn’t happen. Now you might think that’s pretty simple as it sounds like two couples but that’s actually split across 4 of them.

But she/he could have been named after one-hit-wonder Harper Lee. Or folk rock legend Roy Harper, or Charlie Sheen. Or just the lagers that were drunk that night....

They’re surnames though.

Do they still make Harp? That’s a blast from the past.

Good morning chaps. Finally some clouds here with temperature about 30. Had enough of heat this year.
Have a good one.

Hiya!

Something to bear in mind is that temp and heat are two different things. High temps are inefficient, regardless of the tech. So rather than turning the temp up, increase the volume of heat instead. Easy fix is to increase the size of the heat emitters.... Get some bigger rads.

Underfloor heating for example has a flow temp of around 25-30c. But effectively turns the whole floor area into a radiator, and heats a house very effectively and consistently.

At the opposite end of the scale, a soldering iron is probably around 300c, but tiny. So even though it's got a really high temp, it would never heat a room.

Hi Dan, glad to see you here. Are you into heat pumps?

Morning all.

Office today for however long I can face it. With it hitting 34 degrees this afternoon it might be a tad warm to slope off for a bike ride.
Might just sit in the garden, feet in Joseph's paddling pool and drink beer.

Top chaps. Get 'em to balance the wheels and tyres using their swanky radial force balancing contraption. For those of a more easterly disposition, Elite Tyres in Rainham is also excellent.

Good luck at 9am

Thank you. Went well.
