Well, we bought a tree and it's now propped up somewhere outside until the inside has enough space to get it up. At the moment we have a large interim (I hope) workshop, stacks of tools, stacks of wood and all kinds of other stuff preventing me from achieving an impressive erection.

Christ on a bike! This year’s tree was a total b@stard. Took hours to get it in the stand plus an alarming mis-swing with the axe, miles out and hit my finger. Thank feck it’s blunt no stitches required but just the sad reality that I’m too old for this ****. Tree looks alright though.

I've been bah humbug'd into putting it up

It does have a slight lean to the right but that's as good as it gets

Bought one of those instant Christmas lights for the outside, stick it in and switch it on, no ladders or trips to A&E
