Looking forward to a 3 bird roast the other day.
Karen: I'll put it in the spare room to cool down.
Me: It'll be fine in the kitchen, it's in a sealed Tupperware and we will only be 10 minutes!
Karen: You know they can unscrew the lid off the cat biscuit jar??
Me: What can go wrong in 10 minutes?

NB : our garden is now a bit tidier since the portrait of Adolf and his friend was taken. Adolf clearly doesn't like having his portrait taken, nor does Adolf's friend.

Which reminds me of the time someone introduced himself to me as Mr Hitler— he must have seen the shock on my face, as he added ”with double t” as if that would somehow make it acceptable - it took me a few seconds to compose myself. Why he didn’t change the “t” to an “l” or so instead of having to say “with double t” all the time I will never know.. mind you this was in South Africa where I have met people with the first name Adolf

In other news...we apparently are now Cat People.
A year old momma gave birth to some now-10-week old kittens (three toms, one girl; two each orange/tabby and grey) in our abandoned well house. Rounded them up and took them to the vet yesterday for shots, deworming, flea treatments...and now they are in a bedroom, awaiting socialization/near death experiences with two children, three GSDs, and a Great Pyrenees...what have I (allowed to be) done (to me)???
