It's low mileage, but a 2002 Spyder for that money, they are having a laugh. Or maybe we have been doing it all wrong and our 2002 AC is actually worth around £40K, well I'll drink to that!!!
Dem, I think we are on a winner, that is unless every other Maser owner put's their's up too, then we are back where we started??
Or we could adverise them in Europe, who knows somebody might just bite for Euro's 55K.
Don't get too excited about selling your beauty in Oz for 40,000 quid Dem. Going Aussie price is 55,000 to 60,000 $A. Take off the local compliance and importing costs and you comeback to 23/24000 quid. As with everyone else though we would be delighted to see higher bidding. http://www.carsales.com.au/private/...294964988+1216&num=15&silo=Stock&sort=default
Prices down here are largely UK price plus shipping/compliance/tax. Locally delivered cars will sell for a little more for a variety of reasons but the gap isn't very big any more. The 23/24k I mentioned was based on the 60k $A asking price but likely tobe sold for 5/10000k $A less than the ask.
Been discussed before. French used car prices are shocking. A quick look at French web sites reveals I would have paid nearly twice as much for my QP had I bought over there. This has ever been the case. So when I'm buying I am thankful.
I am, however, less thankful when I come to sell.
I'm further less thankful when I think of all that beautifully smooth tarmac, less traffic, fewer cameras and better weather they enjoy
Yes....but I believe lots on this forum quite like gloating over French misfortunes................not listing any names....................but at least having only half the amount tied up in a depreciating asset must be a good thing!!!!!!
So we all buy here and sell in France, why not, OK so the steering wheel is on the right, but it would not make a lot of difference to the way they drive, surely??
