Tech cloth vs. leather

So I'm after a GS, and am currently mulling over the respective merits of tech cloth vs. leather interiors. The reason being is that I really only want to spend 25k max and that money seems to only stretch to a tech cloth equipped car based on what is available at present.

I was wondering what owners of the respective interiors though about their cars, why they chose the interior they did, and whether anyone regrets the choice they made?

Cheers

When I got my GS, it was second hand and very few cars had leather back then. I didn't mind the tech cloth but it was not particularly nice to look at. It did suit the sportiness of the car though.

My Gransport has tech cloth. When i bought the car i did not know full leather was available. I really should have done more research !
But i find the tech cloth seats appear to wear better than the full leather ones (no cracks etc).
Cleaning can be little bit of a problem due watermarks being left but i seem to have mastered the cleaning technique now.
You never know but tech cloth equipped cars may be seen as more desireable in the future due to its novelty (i cannot think of another car equipped with it)

For me I saw Tech cloth and hated it, but thats just me.

One thing I would like to know, does the Tech cloth pull or bobble?

I cant see the Tech cloth being worth more than full leather, sorry I just cant. I would stretch to the full leather if you can, as you will get the money back in the long run, plus it will be easier to sell on.

I agree Matt some of the more lairy tech cloth combinations are enough to bring on a migrane, but I have the the light grey tech cloth which lifts the interior on a black car. Black leather on black car is just a little too somber for my liking IMHO.

I have not noticed any pulling or bobbling on the cloth, but agree it might be vunerable to a sharp belt or keys. Generally i think the seats look less worn than full leather as only the side bolsters show cracks and wear.

Thanks James, its good to know the cloth is wearing well.

I am sure your car is stunning, its just I dont like the feel of the tech cloth, it feels cheap.

Maserati keep doing this, they did the same with the GTS, putting Alcantara centres to the seats in the first few cars, now everyone wants the full leather, Maserati just dont seem to learn.

Stretch to leather as its an easier sell.....BUt saying that I would not say no to a car with tech cloth if it was a good one and the right price........In fact if I was going for a black car I think the tech cloth looks OK if the leather is black as it breaks up the all black on the car.....Some very nice black tech cloth cars for sale currently but they do seem a bit pricey.....But then they are at London dealers so tend to be more money.

I do think tech cloth will be worth more in future but im talking 10 years on....

Full leather is my preference if i had the budget.....
