Is it about time that we had a meet in the SW or west country?
I drive around for hours and rarely see another Maserati and when i do i am so taken aback i forget to wave and before i know it the cars gone and i feel they may think i snubbed them.
Course if i had fair warning and they were not nose to tail in heavy traffic i may have a chance to wave furiosly as they(or rather I) go by.
I offer a solution to my own and possibly others dilemma regarding this and sugest a meet in the glorios Devon countryside at a venue here http://www.waieinn.co.uk/
The cost of accomodation is fair and the setting is one of the best with plenty of space and protection for your car.
It does food and ales and is a huge place with swimming pool and sports facilities. The food is great and also cheap and i go here quite a lot for the "Farmhouse gril"l which comes out on a plate almost the size of a maserati alloy!!
There is something for everyone here and as stated in another thread its right next to the Bikers route A377 to Barnstaple which is a great road to drive out on and back along the A386 towards hatherleigh/okehampton and eventually the A30 which is about 5 miles further on from hatherleigh.
these are the most voted roads in the devon area in most bikers magazines and i would guess that this translates to sports cars as i drive them occasionally just for the pleasure.
I am fairly sure that i can get group booking discounts and also get a section of the rear of the carpark reserved for all our cars.
I would be more than happy to arrange this or let someone else on the forum do bookings but as i said i am known by the Inn.
If you are more northerly based i recommend this as a good weekend getaway and if you dont like it after the first night, then you could always find something more to your own tastes nearby.
It is a great central Devon Base.
If you wish to see more images of the carparks and grounds i can go out and take some snaps with the D3 so you get a better "feel" of the place.
Also dont forget that there is a small resevoir for fishing on the grounds.
