I had a terrible weekend last weekend. On Saturday I had to pick up my new Granturismo S followed by a trip to see my old boss to have a go in his new 458 Italia (an incredible car by the way....VERY raw!). I thought my GTS was loud in Sport mode but his 458 was just as loud until the race mode was selected....at which point it became deafening!
My awful weekend continued on Sunday when I found myself at my local Ferrari / Maserati dealer at (what was then) some sort of secret supercar meet - I found out about it as one of the friends of my other halfs' dad happens to be the workshop manager at Graypaul in Nottingham...oh, and he's already proving very useful to me (my life continues to get worse )
Anyway, thought you'd like to see some pictures from the meet....and the first picture by the way is a car that I would have (in hardtop form) if my budget could just stretch another £50k or so. Pictures just don't do this car justice...
The workshop in a Ferrari / Maserati dealer = immensely pristine....
Underneath a 458 Italia....look at how they even seal up the seams between the ground-effect aerodynamics (and yes, if you're thinking "that's untidy sealing", so was I!)....
In comparison to the underneath of Maserati Granturismo which, although it still has some ground-effect stuff, is a lot more rudimentary....
A before and after detail on a 458 (the 'after' is on the left incase you're blind!)....
Some pictures of the various cars that I could be bothered with....
A pre-facelift Diablo interior....
And a much-improved post-facelift....bet you didn't know they varied so much!
And finally, this Ferrari book....sorry, not a book....it's an opus. They did two versions of the Ferrari Enzo Opus - one at a mere £2k and this one, which is exactly the same as the £2k one but has a few random (lol) signatures from all the living Ferrari racing drivers etc...a snip at £20k
The pictures doesn't really reflect this but the book was about a foot square and a good 4-5 inches thick!
