Summer house/Artic cabin

Looking at trying to smarten the garden up since gutting it, and I need to get some privacy back after removing some large tree's.
I have no idea on summer houses, so after opinions and things to look out for, as prices seem to vary considerably. I have a corner area that would seem to work well with something like this, but open to suggestions.

I've got exactly that one , you won't be disappointed, it's very well made and can be built by one person apart from the roof, spec the shingle tiles , they look better and it's easier than rolls of felt

Cheers, what did you put it on? Seen a range of options, from concrete, to decking to some plastic lattice. The area is currently a mixture of dirt and grass, and looking at having decking to the side of it. Seems abit of a waste to put it over/on decking

I had a concrete base from a previous shed so just extended it to the shape

Whatever you put it on needs to be level or the roof panels won't line up in the centre

We went to bents garden centre to look at some before buying from tiger sheds , they had an ex display similar reduced to 4k ,it was nothing like the quality of the tiger sheds one , looked like it might last 5 years

Mine has been up 4 years , 100% watertight and very well made

You’ll need a concrete base if you want it to last, be stable, and not rot. We had a log cabin from Lillevilla which served us well for 5 years (and would have lasted many more) but we are currently replacing it with this:

Okey dokey, cheers, sounds like the way forward. Good excuse for a mini/micro digger maybe.
Have you treated it every year?

You build it like Lego , the planks slot in , tongue & groove , just need a tap with a rubber mallet and a block if they're a bit tight , windows just drop in and the doors are pre hung

Thinking about it you'll need 2 for the windows and doors as they're heavy but really simple DIY build or I think they offer a built service on a pre constructed base , or they did

I really can't recommend them highly enough

I have a 45mm log cabin from dunster house, insulated floor, ceiling and double glazed so its warm enough to use all year round.
Had it 10years absolutely no rot.
The 45mm log makes it more of a “cabin” than a shed with windows.
Definitely recommend a concrete base.

I used this company back in 2004 for a workshop and after a visit to them and see buildings in the flesh they put the building up for me.
Drove past last year and it still looked superb.

Fitted this one day before yesterday for the brother inlaw , he and the missus bought one each whilst i was away , £700 each , not the most sturdy int the world , but like all things Ikea or MFI " it how they are put together that counts for durability"
