As an XJC won't fit into the 20K budget it will be the XJS.


I really like this early one Phil, but the V12 scares me a bit...

I've just noticed it's a Selespeed - I'm out.
Not a selespeed fan either.
This one seems to be a uk car though, rather than a japanese import, so in that respect very rare indeed. I notice in the pics the Alfa Romeo club valuation was £22500 back in 2018! Must be a decent example, it’s just down the road from me too.

My late brother in law had a 1976 pre-HE V12 4-speed manual that looked identical to this. He never did things by halves, it was his first car!

Nothing scares me and have done a fair bit of work on Jaguars from this era.
Like anything lack of use causes more problems especially on fuel and cooling systems along with the rear inboard brakes.
Mechanically that's about it but a really good parts back up and no major specialist tools.
I would work on them everyday for me.
