So why not stitching and insert to match the trim on the dashboard?

Yea , my bad , I thought it would be a tad darker blue like the dash piping , which actually looks black in the photo but is really dark blue .
They sent me a chart with all the stitching colours available and it was totally my choice , they didn’t just use the first blue that came to hand , to be fair I think it will mellow and darken a bit with age , but I don’t mind if it doesn’t , I really like it .
Looking back at the photos , the piping looks darker than it is and the stitching looks lighter , they were taken in the garage with fluorescent lighting and on my phone without the flash turned on , so I suppose a bit of shadow might have crept in , the contrast doesn’t look as bad in the daylight ......... honest !

Ah, well, that sounds all good, then. I was looking at the background colour of the dash and imagining a light tan (or is it crema?) insert. Also was looking at the stitching on the gaiter not the piping.
