Stafford Event 1st August

Information for Sunday 1st August - Market Square, Stafford, ST16 2BB

The centre of Stafford is Pedestrianised and the only entry point for the event is off Gaol Square, and then follow the pedestrian zone down Gaolgate Street which leads into Market Square, it's a narrow entry point to look out for. I have tried to mark this on the map below. You will see the Entry Point at the top of the map, perhaps do as I have done, and use Google Street View to have a better look.

The hours have also been made a little more flexible with the roads now being closed at 11:00am and re-opened at 3:00pm, rather than 10am to 4pm as originally intended. Therefore, cars for display should arrive no later than 10:45am

I will have my mobile with me should anyone need assistance on the day 00000 000000 - but this extends only to members of this Forum whoi need general assistance, the formal organisers are the Donna Louise Trust and the Guildhall Shopping Centre to whom all other matters should be directed.

Thankyou to everyone who has already said they are coming, but if you are still thinking about it, please come along on the day and meet us there.

If there is any more information available, I will post it on here.

Thanks

David

Top job! The run up to Stafford should be a good one for you.
The start time is now 11:00am so you don't need to be there quite as early as we originally said.
I will be there by 10:00am but you will need to be in for about 10:45am so you don't get stuck on the wrong side of the pedestrian barriers!
See you there.

Re access to Market Square. Do you know if there are any barriers or restrictions when approaching Gaolgate Street from the roundabout? Thanks.

There are no access issues other than the bollards which are raised during the day.

This is a link showing the google street view of the entry point. You will se the bollards in the raised position to stop traffic entering Gaolgate Street. As long as you are there before 11:00am, they will be down!

We can collect you from your hotel on Sunday and come in convoy. Can you PM me your mobile number, and I will keep in touch?

Lovely to meet you all, great to see such a fine array of wonderfully turned out works of automotives art!

So a big thanks to David for organising the get together and it was great to meet even more SM forum guys in the flesh and hopefully get a new member or two to join!!

Hi All
Just got back from a fab day in Stafford. The sun may not have been shining particularly well but the cars and the company were in top form!
Good to meet you Frank, and so sorry you missed out reservoirfrog...maybe another time?

The charity, the Donna Louise Trust, were very happy to see us and for our support. Maserati 8, Aston Martin 5, noise 10.
Great day and thankyou to every one for your support.
A special mention to all those couples getting married too: Craig and Sarah, David Bayliss and Amanda, all getting married this month. And to Peter and Sophie too, not long now.

A few of my pictures, I will circulate any that come from the PR office too:

Looks to have been a superb day, with superb cars and in a superb location. Massers looking good with Georgian buildings behind them.
