Stafford Event 1st August

Hi,

I'm from the fundraising office of The Donna Louise Children's Hospice based in Stoke-on-Trent. We are the only children's hospice serving Staffordshire and South Cheshire. One of our supporters is the Guildhall Shopping Centre based in Stafford. During the summer they organise fundraising events for us in the Market Square and on 1st August we are inviting owners of quality sports cars such as Maseratis to bring their cars to the Square between 10.00 and 16.00h to put on a fantastic display for the general public. We would like to get up to 30 cars there on the day with plans to start them all up at 12 noon.

Please would members near to Stafford support us and this event which could lead to a fantastic display of cars on the day.

This is an event I am certainly supporting, and I hope we can get a good representation of our cars along. I have approached a number of owners and I'm pleased to say there are six who have expressed a serious interest.

The Donna Louise Trust performs an amazing service for children and young adults who, for many reasons, will not live to see a full life.
Their work is invaluable and touches the lives of people all around us in Cheshire, Staffordshire, Shropshire and indeed further afield.
The Trust must raise over Â£2m every year to continue this work, and this is one way in which we could help.

Reading about the work of these guys (http://www.donnalouisetrust.org/) has hit a nerve with me and if I can help by showing off my car for the day, then I'm certainly up for it. I have been pointing Chris in a number of directions for Italian cars but I know that he is also hoping to get Aston Martin and Jaguar E-Types along too.

The cars would just be on show and it would be up to each owner as to whether they wished to allow anyone to sit in / touch their own cars.
If you went to the BIAMF in Bristol in April, it will be along those kind of lines, complete with a start your engines at high noon!

Please can I ask that you give this some serious consideration and if you feel at all moved to help by coming along to support Chris and the Trust, then please post up your support here and drop Chris an email at Christopher.Belyavin@donnalouisetrust.org to let him know. Please contact him if you wish to know any more details about the event or the work of the charity as I am not involved in their work only in trying to help Chris get a good turn out. I am however, looking into getting a lunch venue together for the benefit of Maserati owners. This is clearly a family event so the more the merrier as they say.

Also just want to say that there is no entrance fee or donation required to enter this event. The idea from the Trust's point of view is create an attraction which gets the public there so they can raise awarness of their work and to receive donations from the visitors.

I am also hoping to get Stratstone Manchester (Maserati Ferrar main dealers) along and with a little luck we will have a Ferrari Simulator too!

I would like to bring this back to the top again to thank those who have expressed a wish to come along and support the event.
Having spoken with the main organiser this morning, he is looking to fill another 10 spaces, I have the support of 7 Maseratis (all 4200's!) but would love to be able to have more so that our marque is the strongest representation.
Stafford is a lovely county town, the shopping centre and galleries will be open and I'm also looking to reserve places at Bella Italia Ristorante just around the corner from the display area in the Market Square.
Please have another look in your diaries and see if you can come along too.

I make no apologises for yet another bump for this event.
It's this coming weekend, Sunday 1st August starting at 10:00am to 4:00pm. Group lunch arranged for 1pm.
