Crikey

I hope things out better than when the last Midlands based venture capital group bought a well known manufacturer (for a princely £1) with a view to moving things forward.

My Goodness.

i want them to keep the quality high......

I think that goes without saying Dem , they are such an aquired taste , too much deviation from the avionic spyker theme would see it doomed i feel , as you know they are well known for in your face engineering luxury , bling of the engineering fraternity , thats what owners love them for , out and out performance figures aren't the best but up in the top ten so to speak , so its the quirkyness owners love , they would do well to remember that

Oh come on guys! How is a Spyker with a Chevy engine a good thing! They got away with the Audi 'cos it's a good engine, but that lazy fat-arsed american lump of...........

The people that will buy a Spyker want pedigree.... but not the dog food that comes in a can.

In all fairness Miles , usually along with you i diss most american cars for quality lack of design etc , but one thing i can say without doubt is that whilst on holliday at Le mans last year Matty's mate David who came along in his Corvette held his own with ease and we were pushing hard at times , top end and accelleration ,although its not as pretty as ours it was returning better fuel economy ,

Must admit whilst watching a few of the american car programmes some of there engine builders produce some very pretty looking V8 's

Not a fan either..................not even the GT40...................felt it was purely a commercial finger or even a in the eye of the European makers at the time..........wheres the lineage...the development...the history...the mystique........?
