can anyone tell me the difference between the springs on a 2002 spyder and the later 2003/gransport ones which are the only ones available now?
i've lowered mine to later specs but it still feels like its on stilts when pressing on, are they shorter/stiffer?

Have you checked the wheel alignment? That can have an impact on feel.
However I think the later GS were , along with everything else, a different but improved spec.

You can, and should fit the later 4200/GranSport springs

Different/better damping rate.
