I just came home after picking up the discs at the post office.
They look fantastic! Thanks again for all the help, and I'm looking forward to spend some quality time in the garage a dull & dark winter day : )

Pardon the "new guy" questions, but I just joined the site yesterday and just bought a 2002 Coupe a couple of weeks ago. I'm in South Carolina and everyone here in the U.S. seems to buy through Formula Dynamics which is apparently, a very good outfit. I notice though, that their rotor prices are much higher than the numbers I'm seeing here. Can someone explain that to me? Appears to be different materials being used but other than that, I'm not sure.

Is a set from the "second batch" still available?

Okay, just saw that there is a "Group Buy #3" on another thread. I will sign up over there; still wondering though about the answers to my questions above though...

In short, as an owner of a full set, these are not cheap discs. Just my opinion, others manufactures are guilty of extortion. When you look at the weight/amount of material and the time taken to manufacture, the largest financial commitment would be the initial tooling setup. These discs are simply value for money.

Short answer - they're better quality than OEM and sold at cost to SM members in defiance at Maserati's extortionate pricing for service/wear and tear items.

Add your name to the 3rd group buy and we should be ordering early next year.

slidefighter there *is* a set from the second batch, but they issue is shipping costs to the US. If you can sort something that suits you I can make it happen (with some help)

Well, assuming the moderators or the guys running the third batch don't object, I have to have them shipped either way (2nd batch or 3rd batch). So, if there are no objections, what are the shipping options available in England? Can they simply be shipped via UPS or similar? I received a new under-hood blanket from Eurospares yesterday that was shipped to me via Fedex. Arrived in about 10 days...

Interparcel.co.uk to get a quote.
Expect around $200 for shipping alone.
They weight 40kg the full set.

Discs arrived today, it feels like Christmas. Thank you very much MAF for your continued efforts.
I used TransGlobal Express who were substantially cheaper than InterParcel for the haul to Australia.
Can't fault their service.

Good news Bruce. I just engaged them to bring my 2 sets over. Any problems with customs/quarantine or did they come straight top your door?

I had them sent to the office, so her indoors wouldn't know.
No hassles with customs.

Wow, that was quick to get them across the globe! Less than a week.

One set heading for Australia today and another 2 sets tomorrow. These discs have spread across 4 continents so far.

I'm meeting with the Australian Forum guys this Saturday in Melbourne and have promised to show a sample.
We might get more into group buy 3.

Great, thank you. We need numbers to keep these group buys going - minimum 50 sets per order. If we get to a point where there are sufficient orders then I would be happy to discuss whether the manufacturer could ship direct to Australia/North America.
