Don't talk about the wind, one of the aircraft I fly which was parked up with the aircraft engineers now looks like this,


completely heartbroken, it is most likely a write off. According to the tower it was lifted 30ft! by the wind then deposited thus. On the bright side no-one was hurt and the other one which had been lashed down by the pilots has not moved and is ok.

That is indeed a tragedy. There are few enough Chippies left let alone one in original RAF colours. First aircraft I ever flew that was, 14 year old spotty air cadet, terrified out of my wits.
