Spare Tire Alternative

Hi guys, I am here in the US, been following for awhile and now can finally jump in. I recently bought an 02 4200 GT and was looking for a spare tire alternative I can find here in the US. I read somewhere that a spare from a Ford Mondeo is an option, but not sure I can find one of those here. Any input is appreciated!

I've heard that a volvo wheel might fit... You get them in the US don't you?

Oh and further to my last, there's a recent thread about a spare wheel being a Mercedes space saver with an adapter. Again I'm not sure off which model.

The Volvo XC90 was suggested but you still require an adapter.

There are threads on here on how to modify a Mercedes collapsible one, and I understand that is now used as a Forum Spare...in fact I hope to borrow it in April.

Why don't you bite the bullet and just buy a second hand 4200 space saver, save all the faffing about... you see them from time to time on Ebay
