Well I've just SORN'ed the Mas from tomorrow, so I can put her in the garage and get on with my intended winter works and repairs including getting the paintwork sorted and some serious waxing to a perfect finish...

Should be till the end of March if all goes well so some big jobs on the list...

Front & rear bumpers off, o/s front wing all in need of resprays.
Change coolant so may drop rad off and have a good bit of access round the front of the engine.
Look at alternative airbox feed & mesh air filter.
Brake overhaul (can o'worms) inc braded hoses
full underside clean, de-rust & paint of all BZP components and anything that looks like it would be better off painted
Resolve headlight issues
Possibly replace clutch (see other thread)
Replace rear boxes (more noise needed)
Refurb of wheels
Anything else that I find underneath...
Cabin; sort out passenger sun visor micro swithch, reverse lever, seats (controllers) and steering wheel bubbling....

So just a few things to do!

I hope you have a heater in your garage, Newton - looks like you'll be spending a lot of time in there. I'm sure the new hound will be pleased to help, if you need anything chewing or moving, for example.

Hard as nails me... I do have a fan heater for those really desperate days but mostly I just stick a bit of old carpet under where I'm working and get on with it!

Very easy Dem, just take paperwork along to the post office or do it online a couple of days before the next month so it can be sent out to you... Difficulty is if you have a fresh MOT you cannot always do it online till the system updates.

I'm only doing it so I'm not tempted to keep driving it all winter and get on with the work that's needed instead.

You have to SORN for insurance as well these days. To put it back on the road; Insurance first, MOT if needed then pop to your local post office that does tax and away you go... You can do them all the same day that way as Insurers will email your certificate.

Well I've just been talking to the guys in the garage opposite and arranged to borrow the 4 post lift any time, so it looks like the self change clutch is on.
