Cash for me eveytime. Accompany the person to the bank let them checkl done deal! Most i've took from a sale was £15k and the most i paid in cash was £10k

As mentioned banker's draft can be fake and i bet that are scamster who hacked into online accounts (probably me being paranoid!)

Oh well guy phoned up today to say he wasn't coming because he got an amazing deal from a dealer on an 8000 mile gransport....

Strange thing was I asked him how much he got it for, and he said .... I don't want to discuss that... If it was me I would be boasting about what kind of amazing deal I got if I had got such a good deal..... Hey ho perhaps he's just a 'window licker' :)

Something a bit more economical..... I'm thinking now keep the maserati and get a fiat panda for a runaround

exactly what I have done Fiat Stilo, very boring but does the job, went out to work to see a customer today and had to hide the maser round the corner so he did not see it. Think he heard me leave though!

Pete.. keep me posted if your pulling out of the Brize day if the Maserati goes. Like the others say, get a run-around...my Fiesta Encore is great.

Will do, I think I will be keeping it now..... If anyone knows anyone with a cheap fiat panda for sale in the south east, please let me know

Hope you decide to keep yours.

Cheers

Nowt as ***** as folk Peter.

There is an 8k car for sale at Meridien - I'd be very surprised if they did and "amazing deal" as they stand firm for MONTHS on their advertised prices and, as I suspect you know well enough, they're not ones to negotiate or compete on price. They sell good prodicts, and know it!

Old fashioned me , cash is king , love the filthy stuff , counting out again and again is all part of the enjoyment of the transaction , and you would be surprised how people melt at the sight of it when your trying to knock them down , pull out wodge a grand or so short of what you would like to pay and then be happy to walk away ,people feel sick at the thought of losing the deal and often weaken

regards loz

Unfortunately, cash is no longer king. Go to your bank with more than £10,000 cash and see the grief they give you because of money laundering rules

I read somewhere that if you bank more than £5k in cash the bank have a duty to inform the inland revenue of you deposit.

Peter, if I managed to sell my elise in the near future I may come calling.

Its quiet out there at the moment and so it may be spring before a serious buyer materialises.

280hp SC chargecooled elise anyone, go on you know it makes sense:)
