I have recently taken delivery of a Grancabrio, courtesy of @dickygrace and need the garage space. Hence, I’m selling my 4200 cambiocorsa, which will be well known to a number of forum members, having previously been on the SM Modena tour.

The car is mechanically very good, having had nearly £6k spent at Sportsitalia just after purchase 2 years ago, to fix any issues and rustproof etc. Also, a new clutch fitted by F-Tech at 74,000 miles - only 5,000 miles ago. Goodyear Eagles all round with loads of tread left. If they are worn at all, it is even, since all the alignment etc was done by SI.

It’s Sebring blue (quite rare, apparently) with a mid grey interior. Runs superbly - never let me down in over 2 years, since @conaero and Ash got their hands on it! As I said, mechanically it’s great and all the expensive bits are sorted. That was my priority, so there a few (low cost) items which could be done by new owner to improve, as follows:

Sticky buttons - I removed the goo and took them down to the white plastic base, with black lettering.

There is a black spot in the middle of the NIT, where I believe a toy was literally thrown out of the pram! Doesn’t bother me, as I can still see the screen info (what there is of it!)

@conaero had the little dents and parking touches removed, so that’s all good. I put a light scratch along the n/s front wheel arch when parking it in the garage after that SI work (yes, after I calmed down, I did get the irony but still failed to laugh about it…). My local body shop quoted £300 but as it was going into store again, they just made me a pot of paint and touched it in! Pic attached.

Will accept £9k bottom line. £8K now to make space

Thanks Newton, she still sounds awesome! Here's a few pics from yesterday and today.
Close up pic of the wheel arch included - it’s not as bad as I thought but still annoying to me. With lacquer and polish, perhaps not even noticeable.

Ok, no responses at all!
I’d rather it was gone, so I’m reducing the price to £8K until next Monday.
After that it gets put into storage and won’t be available again at this price.
I'd love it, but it would get wet on the drive over and someone put the steering wheel on the wrong side (again). Someone needs to jump on this steal of a deal!!!

Nice car, GLWS.

I have just bought a lovely spyder. Cracking cars.

Would you consider selling the plate?

Cheers

Guy

@Kiwibrit, is the 4200 still on the market?

If so, do you have any extra photos etc?

Feel free to WhatsApp 07738557062

Many thanks

Nick

Hi Nick
The car is now garaged again in Dorchester. It can still be sold but I’ve not actively marketing it.
I don’t think I have any more pics at the moment - will check later. Matt at Sportsitalia knows the car well though, as you can see from the invoices! I will PM you - are you nearby? Regards. Guy

True enough but damage was limited to force opening the petrol flap only (pics and invoice show this at the time) - since replaced. Also, service and all maintenance subsequently has been done at Sportsitalia (F-tech for the clutch etc).

I am told that the scrap value alone of these vehicles is around £6k, considering this one is running perfectly, has had £10k spent on it recently, I would suggest that £8K is not exactly unreasonable. I’m in for over £20k over 2.5 years, which may be down to my stupidity but it represents a bargain to somebody who wants a quality 4200.

I would have it back in a heartbeat but just not in a position to atm. My middle lad Alex is interested but has a bigger itch to scratch just now!

I have various itches that I should be scratching first (clearing debt) but the Maserati ownership itch is the most itchy
