Solar powered trickle charger

I wondered if there are any users of these about? I am looking at the one the AA offer which charges via the OBD socket. I am off the Franc and the car will get little use once there, so I thought this might be useful to keep the battery topped up?

Years ago I used to have one velcro'd on the parcel shelf off my Merc 123, I was running all sorts of tech in there and it would keep up with demand on all but the foggyest of days. Being an auto a flat battery was a disaster!

Invest in one of these. Mine has been chatged for months and done 1 jump start. Still has 100% charge.

I’ve been using one constantly for at least five years now. I purchased a solar panel and controller from eBay for about £30, and wired it in a lock up I rent to keep my 4200 in.
