Just thought I'd drop by and say hello - nice forum!

Sadly I'm still without a Maser at the moment, but back in something Italian at least in the shape of a black 159. I've even gone for the diseasal one, but don't worry, I'm recieving help for it....

"Paco in sensible car shocker...!".... hold the front page!

Hope to catch up with a few of you before long!

Hi Patrick you found us then, can I ask where and how, just so we know what is and what is not working.

Alfa 159, nice, I have the 156 Sportwagon to munch the miles, GS as a plaything!

Welcome aboard, you not going by the Pacoryan handle anymore, have you been on the 'dark side' maserati forum much, how do you find it these days?

Hi Matt,

I use Paco most of the time, from memory I think it was too short for t'other board though.

As fr hearing about SM, I spoke with his Loz-ness some time ago and he mentioned there was a new forum on the way - and then I picked up on a PH thread and stuck my nose in a couple of months ago, but tbh I was keeping a low profile, being somewhat bereft of appropriate wheels!

I haven't been back to the other one much - seems most of the banter I enjoyed is here now anyway, and I was getting a bit bored of the same aspects that you guys did, it has to be said.

The 159 was a bit of an impulse purchase really, dead cheap very leggy ex-fleet machine but I'm very impressed at how well it is screwed together, tidier inside than my Audi was at half the mileage, it looks ace and goes ok for a shmoky-joe diesel. I think my local Shell station are weeping though, my weekly £80 tank fulls in the S4 and 3200 are now more like monthly!!

Highly recommended, just thinking a little re-map would help it along...

Cheers,

Patrick

Hey Paco , thanks for popping in , its really nice to hear from you once again , Hows life treating you, hope the missus is good and the boys growing ever more boisterous, Alfa ownership eh NO PROBLEM we even have your very own section , be more than happy for you to share your experiences and contribute to it , Yep forum coming along nicely largely due in the main by the Members, and an awfull lot of time and hard work by Matt (conaero) for which we are all eternally greatfull.

Hope the building work is now finally done and dusted , and business is on the up , harder times for all or atleast it seems that way, look forward to hearing more from you in the very near future Pat , as a regular poster would be just like old times , pass on my regards to the boys catch up,with you later possibly at a meet

Thanks all for the warm welcome!

Loz it's been an interesting time for various reasons, including possibly the worst timed major house renovation in history but I doubt I'm alone in that one!! At least the finished job ticks all the boxes.

The better half and boys are all in fine fettle thanks!

I'm looking forward to clapping my eyes on this GS, I still keep half an eye on Copart and HBS despite not needing any distractions!!!

End of september Pat , i'll be starting mine , 2 double garages with rooms above one and 2 story side extension , roof to be pulled over so mega upheaval , i'll be doing 40% of it myself so my time on here will be limited to respite moments , when its done it will be great but daunting the prospect of all that work at my age , and trying to earn a crust at the same time

Yeah masses on the salvage sites like busses very infrequent then all of a sudden 2/3 come along , been very bleak of late on that score , seriously got the bug for a turismo now so im actively looking again

Hi Patrick

Welcome to the fold. Should you wish to become a fully fledged member, look what's almost on your doorstep:

(Sorry - can't get used to the new-fangled hyperlink)

Regards

PH

That could almost be his old one Phil, now that would be ironic dont you think , what are the chances of that happpening masser owner has a break for 18 months then someone else points him to view a car an it turns out to be his old one with a private plate on it
