Where do i start on this topic tonite
whilst i realize the initial intentions of this idea are on the positive side , its really only a half measure,
If the powers that be really are that serious regarding removing uninsured untaxed/unlicensed drivers and cars off the road , they have got to start at the beginning , where the car purchase begins , its plainly toooooooooooo easy to by a car and drive it without the necessary , this is where the crack down should be implemeted first ,
As a regular auction attender , physical and online ive seen first hand litterally hundreds of eastern europeans/russians /east and west africans , buy £50 jobs , and simply drive them away , its sickening , and really annoys me , especially when i pay £2500 a year in various car insurance and probably half that in road tax ,
Thats without the numerous private/garage sales that go unchecked each and every day of the week, this is where the crack down has got to start ,
Car insurance should only be available in annual premiums payed up front , so should car tax and should be non refundable unless end of life documentation is provided ,
The change over of ownership shopuld be carried out, only by an approved body , ie the post office , where all necessary paperwork is checked and be seen to be in order , if its not there then the sale should be disallowed and deemed illegal and punishable by fine , if the decision is flouted
Only then can the new camera system be deemed to be fair and for the right reasons ( ie not a goverment cash cow ) close the buying loophole solves a whole lot of the conquent problems that occurr all to regularly
Enjoyed this rant , love the post Enzo keep em coming
