Stunning Andy, a great Era for cars, 2 of my nominations, now before you start, yes i have nominated a Merc, i dont regard these cars as good as the M3 as the E30 M3 was always the ultimate, but these were 2 great cars and are quite iconic from this era and well respected today.

I was in my autoprime in the 80's , for me it has to be one of these

This was my one and only brand new car ever B44 TAS , great bit of supercharged kit for its time , in 1983 had a top speed of 137mph which in those days was fast , not a lot else touched it , trying to track it down now , apparently a member of the Lancia owners club has it , im waiting to hear if its purchaseable, handled like a dream on wheels

Had a few Porkers in the eighties ,a Targa first and then the 3.3 turbo complete with 80's whale tail , great fun but disappointing handling compared to the Lancia's i was used to

Cant disagree with you Frank , they were very prone to the 80's reclaimed steel era , fortunately the 1st missus worked for Zeibart ( the only positive thing she ever done ) and the car was fully waxoiled from new , her work colleagues went overboard knowing it was for me , and the blooody stuff was everywhere, the dealership at the time charged me £75 extra for 2 lots of Valetting ...................... hence probably the reason its still around now and by all accounts in very good shape

can't think of an 80's car that was good!

It was not a great time for Supercars, Ferrari made the Mondial, the least said about that the better, the 348 which is known as the poor mans 355 and the Testarossa which is ugly as sin. Lambo made the Countach, very nice :D:D

Ford Sierra Cosworth RS500, that was a good car, worth a fortune today.

Mmmmmmmmmmm great for 10 hours worth of driving Adam , whats the point of a pocket rocket that lasts as long as a damp firework , about as much use as a chocolate fireguard, but it did rally well tho
