Setting time and date

It looks as though I've drained the battery while updating the nav data.

After Cteking for a while ive managed to get her to start, but the battery was very low, took ages to persuade her to open the doors.

It looked that the NIT had reset, the date and time had defaulted to 1 January 2000.

Synch with gps minute seemed to be working.

However, on several attempts at settjng date and time, it still reverts to 1 Jan 2000, and stangely 13:minutes (minutes synched from GPs).

Does the GT take time and date from GPS? It's a 2008 model without RDS on the radio.
Is it that it's lost its GPS satellites(none indicated on nav page) and i just need to let it acquire from a default lat/long, aqcuire GPS UTC and adjust for local time or is there something odd with the date and time?

On trickle charge with Ctek

I did say that there is a very involved procedure in loading these discs, it's a right pain. The same thing happened to me before I acquired the full loading procedures and I had to do a battery reset and start again. I'll try to dig out the instruction sheet

I suspect it needs to reload ephemeris data from the satellites which may take some time (like an hour or so)

It is indeed rather opaque and random as to when it's finished with each disc.

Expect so, odd though that the manual adjust doesn't bite. Suspect Tracker may be confused as well.

Oh what a pain, that means that I'll have to go for a long drive. Life's soooo hard................:happy2:

Couple of other ideas: Your battery isn't enough to stop the time from losing. You're doing something stupid (like giving it a bad date) I did this last time
