As a little tip on wheel geometry: i was advised by quite a few well know specialists and main dealers and indies, on a general sports car level, that if you were unfortunatle enough to kerb your alloys or at least every 3 years you should have your cars steering checked and if needed setup with a KDS machine.
This is more important still for cars with variable ride height and traction control etc.
Its not cheap but i have experienced this firsthand and my tyres wear better and more evenly and the car feels completely different and much more "planted" and stable in all conditions.
I had the Mercedes done and the Aston was done and i will get the Spyder done as well. after a set of new boots and New lower arms and a full service its the least i can do(i also note that the rears have a bit more wear on the NS than the OS).
I am sure people would disagree with me but for me…if you plan to "play" you need to know that everything is set well within the vehicles recommended parameters and that it will do what it is meant to do to keep you on a good line.
I know these cars suffer from a lot of under steer and i feel this can reduced by a correct setup IHMO.
Not preaching, just “shootin the breeze"

So ive been told by a very respected indie The Advised Factory spec settings of these cars were deliberately set up so as to give maximum grip and correct approach for cornering , unfortunately a subsequence of that will create wear on the inside , its quite well known in Masser circles , it can be adjusted out slightly which will give greater tyre longevity ,but thats why its so common for these cars to wear on the insides first

These tyres that (although ugly) have a fantastic amount of tread left are now on Ebay starting at £100.
I hope that some of you might be interested in a bid but if not thats not a problem either.
If they dont go i will keep them and match them up with my next car.

Yep would imagine you are right but from what Loz has said they have not moved with the times..If others can give function and imagination then is no reason why Pirelli can't.

I think Pirelli have designed a tyre that performs to exact expectations. No disrespect to Guigiaro but I have to say… what does he know about tyre patterns and profiles and how they may aid the driver?
He has designed a good looking tread , but at what cost to the tyres performance?
Yes the P zero is Ugly but Over 200 original equipment approvals by the most prestigious car manufacturers. They use the very latest compounds and have been continually researched and advanced.
I bought the Vredestiens on recommendation and as they look nice and they are marginally cheaper I decided to go for them but I would be very very surprised if they outdid the Pirelli.
The emphasis is on looks not performance.
The Pirelli is designed to handle in cornering and to not deform under any loads,it also has that tread to facilitate an more even tread wear.
Make no mistake the Pirelli is by far the superior tyre performance wise and also bear in mind that the Pirelli is an all seasons and the Ultrac is a summer tyre.
