Mine goes in on Saturday. This time next week I'll have had "that" conversation with Emblem...

Mine was in at autoshield in January for service and MOT. Needed a new front wheel bearing which i knew about. Not enough play to fail the mot but enough to trigger the ABS occasionally. Cars getting plenty of use at the moment so its having new front tyres on monday.

Good luck with yours. Hopefully all will be fine.

Well after a full service new seals on both rocker covers a new ac compressor and seal done on front crank. Nice fresh MOT
And advisories on some dreaded bushes. Next job I have to save for. Now what is the way about this after all the wishbone problems.

Hi all
One thing that came back is around the air filter box, screws etc rusted so did not want to open as it feels the whole box will come off.

So the question is that the airfilter received as part of the services kit is round but the box is square, should the airfilter be round or square please

Mmmm, I usually get mine done before it goes away for the winter. I thought that was a better alternative? I can see the logic in getting it done at the start of the season, so do you guys use the cars all year round?

As said by Voicey...I suspect the old one may nit have been replaced for a while, we have seen many where the mesh has rotted away but still with a full MD history.

The filter box will break on every corner where the screws are rusted in - every single one I've done has been like this and I spend hours repairing the plastic as best I can.

Mine's in for service too, pick up on Monday.
I bought a replacement air box 2nd hand off eBay for exactly what voicey has raised.
Apparently it was headlights out, bumper bar off to change it over.
That and a new BMC filter I hope may minimise my MAF sensor cleaning / replacing cycles.
