Had this issue for about 6 months now, where the belt on the drivers side seems to constantly not re spool and just end up in a tangled mess behind the seat, with the kids tripping over it when they get in the back.
Anyway, bought this silicone spray at the weekend, it smells like back to black type stuff and I am sure it is much the same, but it is sold as a lubricant/squeak suppresser, you can get it in Halfords for about £5 a can. It differs from back to black because instead of staying wet, to give that shinny look, it dries to the touch. Its great for use on electric window rubbers if you have a juddering action, and bought it initially for squeaky wiper blades on the Alfa (made it worse by the way).
Pull the seatbelt out and give it a spray both sides and also the upper feeder on the B post. Pull it in and out a few times, JOB DONE.
Goes back every time now, thought I was going to have to shell out £100 for a new unit
