Well at long last my scissor lift has arrived.
Put to good use right away and already can't understand how I managed without one for so long!
It's so good

Lifts up to 3ton to a height of 1m which will be very kind on the old knees/back etc

Cheers

That looks good, like the open access down the middle.
Details?
My problem is that any higher than 900mm and the car roof will be in the kitchen above, can you stop the lift before 1M?

I have the same thing, albeit red but it won't lift the car at the mo. Relief valve letting the hydraulic pressure past we think.

They are good but still difficult to crouch under and takes time to get it on the lifting blocks before you can lift.

Hi Mike, you can stop it at more or less any height up to 1m. It has positive locking so safe to get underneath.

Not needing to get under it so much just for detailing and getting it on the blocks is a lot quicker and easier than axle stands :luvit:

I have the same one. It's currently broken, hydraulic pressure loss.

They are great but two things to consider:
1. You have to work squat so kills your legs.
2. It takes ages to get the car on the lift and you need several heights of rubber blocks.

What I end up doing is lifting it half way and working laid on a crawler.

If you have the height I would recommend getting a full lift, they are only £500 more. Even if you can't lift the car to full height, still get it as if you then move you can then maybe utilise its full lift.
