Hi All,

A work mate has asked if I can post a note on the forum, to see if someone would be prepared to take his Son to his school prom in style..!
He is prepared to pay for the privilege, but ideally is looking for someone in the Surry Area.. I'm in the Midlands hence the request for help.
If anyone is up for this, please let me know... it will make his sons day..

I did a similar thing for a nephew of mine last year & it seems to be the way to go these days.
Cheers

When you say he'll pay for the privilege, how much are we talking here ;)

If you get a lot of interest from us lot of middle aged men wanting to attend a school prom, maybe his girlfriend would like a lift too :D

Yeah, was my next question....

SM7 is Banstead and well inside the M25 so as the dragons say, I'm out!

Plus I am camping that weekend (the real reason)

Hi,

Be carefull of the legal implications of using you car for reward. Most insurance policies wont cover you in the event of an accident or other unforseen event. That is the situation here in Ireland, I presume its something along those lines in the UK also?

It it the same, I believe. If I was to do soemthing like this, for that reason alone, I would not take payment. Plus, really, its only going to cover the juice, shirley?

Don't bank the cheque until the following day, sorted.

I'm sure if you crashed your sports car with someone's little darling in it, I doubt they'd force a wad of cash in your hand.

Also, where does it stop? If you share a ride somewhere with someone and they offer you petrol money are you now uninsured?

Ah, this must explain why the illegal taxis in London wait until you've got to your destination before asking for the money...

Hi Gents, I guess that the date/ location / timing for anyone to assist may make it difficult.. However if anyone is still interested in helping , let me know.
thx in advance
Cheers
