You're a braver man (I should say person, as I'm a girl/woman/lady) than me - there used to be a QP (with rather scuffed wheel rims and reg plate from a slightly dubious local dealer) parked in a village on my way to work - I was tempted to leave info about @safrane's run a month or so ago (but didn't). The car has now gone........

A quick update on the "Quattroparty at Blenheim Palace on August 31st.
We have arranged for a very rare Quattroporte II to attend the Quattroparty. This is a Maserati "unicorn" as only 13 QPII's were made and only 3 of them are still running: they were introduced at the time that Citroen owned Maserati and their short production history was halted when Citroen ran out of money!

This means that the Quattroparty will feature a full line up of every model in the series since the initial launch 60 years ago, as well as some Concours veterans (like the Prototipo Frua - made for the Aga Khan), plus the Club's normal array of MC20's, Indy's, Sebring's, Bora's and 3500's that normally attend. This is quite some achievement and could be the greatest assembly of Maserati Quattroportes ever.

Ticket booked - looking forward to it - it's just up the road from me so it'd be rude not to. Mrs IANU coming in the Volvo later - we have annual passes too :)
Do you think they'll do prize for mid life crisis commitment to the brand ??

Great to hear that you will be there. Can you email me on simon-davies9@sky.com with details of your car and contact details (phone and email), so I can update you with the latest news and information including any interesting new prize categories. I suspect the competition for mid-life commitment to the brand would be strong, but a Trident tattoo is another level!

Anyone above attending the Quattroparty, with their Quattroportes, who hasn't contacted me with their details, please do so on simon-davies9@sky.com.
I am trying to work out how close we are to the target of 60 QPs attending the 60 year anniversary! The event is shaping up nicely with examples of all six models of Quattroportes, including "unicorns" QPII coming over from Belgium (one of three) and the Aga Khan's Prototipo Frua (one of two), Plus GreyPaul Maserati in Nottingham has provided a "Grecale for the Weekend" as a prize for the "People's Choice" Award, the Maserati Club UK is handing out "Quattroparty" tote bags, with a number of branded gift items in them, for all attendees and there are large rosettes (Red, Green and White) for the different winners in the Concours de Caractere! Hopefully the day will be a bit special. Please help spread the word.

We will be the last V8 Maserati, now the QP has officially ceased to exist.

Nice to have a piece of history to cherish, before I completely lose my marbles

Guys
Have you all got your tickets for Salon Privé and the Quattroparty? I ask because there seem to be a couple of you missing from the line up. It's looking like about 45 Quattroportes currently, and don't forget possibly your only chance to see two unicorn Maserati's, a QP II and a QP Prototipo Frua, plus at least one example of the whole series, plus a technical help desk (a big shout out to McGrath's Maserati and Emblem Motors) plus a People's Choice award (the winner wins a "Grecale for the Weekend", big shout out to Greypaul's Maserati in Nottingham) plus a "Concours de Caractere" for all those QPs arriving on the day with some nice prizes. Every Maserati that attends will get a Maserati Tote bag in Blu Emozione (it is a Maserati event after all) with some branded goodies inside (including non-QP Maseratis). It's going to be a special day for all Maserati enthusiasts: fingers crossed for the weather. Please spread the word over the next three weeks.
