Yeah, piggy-backing can work, but conversely, a focus on a narrower group, and having a less 'big' event might be better at attracting a specific sub-set. In theory we could turn up at Kemble (or somewhere like that) basically for free....

I think we would have to have special subdivisions for people who write "GTS" and those who write "GT S". Not to mention the QP5 people. And the people who write Maserati or Maseratis or Maserati's :p
We could have an extra special area for people to park who worry about “GTS“, “GT S” or Maseratis / Maserati’s ;):p:D

Looks like a good place - and certainly a good idea to do a meet somewhere with extra attractions.

Tomorrow looks fun

They seem to do some car clubs, etc.

Maybe a bit far away for most people.

Yeah probably a bit far for most, but if you're up for a drive...., been to a Lanc taxi run before, a really up close and personal experience , also had tickets for this this year but covid has postponed it till 2021. How cool?

Where I store my GS caters for clubs.

Reasonably central near Bibury.

The classic car hub.

Have a club riom you can rent too... and a large hanger you can use if it gets wet.

You store your Maserati??!!?? :D

Yes I've heard good things about there. Bibury is a great location for you and me, Peter, but I was thinking more 'central' than that....

If only the global locator map worked and was up to date, and had by a 'by model' filter.

New rules. Everyone has to have their name and County in their signature. Be much easier to remember names. :as002:

Some people do have some location info in their registration. But in a variety of formats. Some even have their full postcode, which seem a little unwise. Others are not so helpful.

Holy smokes. You'd have a hernia in two seconds within my company... the total lack of inconsistency in our corporate email signatures boggles the mind.

Never say never but most probably not (apologies) Location would be a big factor for me.
Thanks for the mention though :)

Reviving thread.....

Apparently, the Salon Privé at Blenheim is going to have a special Quattroporte gathering on 31 August.

The “Quattroparty” at Salon Privé Club Day
August 31st 2024 at Blenheim Palace.

by Steven Davies

Over 60 years ago the Maserati Quattroporte was launched at the “Salone dell’ Automobile” in Turin. There Maserati unveiled a completely new type of automobile, combining true performance and sportiness with a very luxurious body and highly appointed interior, which would become the longest running model in the history of Maserati.
The First Quattroporte: A Quattroporte Series 1 being driven with gusto in Italy. The series ran from 1963 to 1969, Styling by Pietro Frua and powered by a Maserati 4.1 Litre V8 Engine which gave the driver a top speed of up to 143 mph!

The model survived the Citroen owned years. However during this era Maserati produced the rare Maserati Quattroporte II built from 1976 – 1978, The Quattroporte II was designed by Marcello Gandini at Bertone based on a stretched Citroen SM chassis. Only 12 were ever built due to Maserati being unable to gain EEC approval for the European market.

The Modern Era has included the Racing Quattroporte. The Maserati Quattroporte EVO (race spec), based on the 4.2 Litre Quattroporte V (Tipo M139), campaigned in the International Superstars Race Series from 2009 to 2012.

Today the model is in its sixth evolution Quattroporte VI, and at the summit the powerful, elegant and very desirable Maserati Quattroporte Trofeo. Powered by a booming 3.8 Litre twin turbocharged V8 engine it is fast and supremely luxurious - the signature model of this most spacious of Maserati’s Grand Tourers

To celebrate the model’s production history through six variants (to date), and it’s 60th anniversary, the Maserati Club UK has organised a "Quattroparty", to bring together as many Quattroporte owners and their cars as possible, at the Salon Privé Club Day on August 31st 2024 at Blenheim Palace. Organiser Club Member Simon Davies.

This beautiful, palatial location and established annual event provides an excellent backdrop to our celebration of the Maserati Quattroporte, the location having the flexibility to accommodate a significant number of cars and the audience of the other prestige car clubs being appropriately educated to appreciate the best of Italian automotive engineering.

In addition to the normal representative Maserati models that attend the Club Day we are keen to bring together many Quattroportes, of all six series produced, belonging to both Maserati Club members and also non-members.
