Roof Box

Hi all,

I am wondering if there are any options available that would enable me to put a roof box (small one) on the Granturismo? We are going on a trip soon and would love to go in the GT but a little short a baggage space.

I am sure I saw a photo/post on here recently where someone had put suction cup roof rack ok?

Thanks

It’s very doable... google Sea Suckers and use those to stick roof bars on accompanied by a small Thule roof box
I've been looking at these and the TreeFrog ones. Would you trust the suction cup method?

yes - I would... people attach very expensive mountain bikes, etc, to them, so I think they must be rock solid.... have never done it but I would definitely consider it if I was planning a decent trip... I’m presuming you are travelling as a four so can’t use the back seats?

Yes, 2 children so only the small boot at the moment for our stuff. I just think it would be so great to go away on short trips in the GT that require a little extra room for luggage etc.

Roofbox my ar5e. Take less shite and what you really must take, use a wooden mallet to cram it in. :)

One of the children was wedged forward of the case. They fold up pretty good if you get them doing yoga from a young age.

Is this actually a dire plea for help convincing the wife that the GT is a practical family car idealy suited for trips across Europe with the young ones?

Send them off to gran, they will only puke in the back as you navigate the Alpine passes.
