Sad to hear we have lost one of the greatest performers in Dance music. He was also a bit of a petrolhead; a couple of V8 Marcos Mantis, Manual 456 Ferrari, Sierra Cosworth and, as of 2 weeks ago, a Bentley V8 GTC.

Martin Duffy from Primal Scream died at 55, the other day too. He stepped in for Rob Collins of The Charlatans, who died in a car crash in 1996.

But agreed, can't everyone stop dying please. Well except for Coldplay members, no one will miss them.

Many moons ago, working in Dixons in the salubrious (!) North Terminal of Gatwick Airport I met and had a brief chat with Maxi Jazz, utterly oblivious to who he was until he walked off and my colleague made me aware afterwards. If memory serves, he had a Panasonic interchangeable lens system camera and was asking if we had any of the lenses available. Funny how details like that stick out in your mind…
