Loving the silver with red and it's a low miles car...Price...Well it's hard to judge these days as they are all over the place and to be honest it's all about history and condition than miles and age these days where price is concerned.........It looks a lovely car but if I was me for 17k I would hang on a hunt down a 2005 face lift car as these are a better drive with the upgrades Maserati added to the CC box etc.......You should get one for 17/18k if not a bt less for a car with a few more miles.

Ferrari Centre been on the go in various guises for ever.
Never had a reputation for "cheap" but from experience with them they sell good cars.
They get the odd non Fezza as a trade in but they know what they are doing.
Prices I think are firming generally on the 3200 and 4200. Where do you get the looks and performances elsewhere for the price of a Fiesta?
If you could get a facelift for just a little more it might be worth it but to be honest if they will negotiate a bit on the price with a low mileage car it isn't that bad a deal if it checks out ok with an inspection.

Tbh, I've never really 'clicked' with the face-lift, I much prefer the elegance of the original. That looks like a nice car and whilst I dont normally like silver cars, I do like that. IMO, worth a cheeky offer.

I've never understood why 4200's are so cheap. Does this auger badly for the granturismo too? Will a 10yr old GT be this silly money?

The 4200's are cheap, no idea why so cheap when compared with Astons, Porsche's etc. Maybe that view will change?

As for this car. If it is late 2004 (and it certainly looks it) then it will have a number (if not all) the upgrades that were done to the 4200. The only difference being the front and rear bumpers, and a cup holder. I believe that the clutch and skyhook were fully upgraded on the late 4200s.

Thats still 25% of retail at 10 years old when most cars are nearing scrap value.

GranTurismo is on another level for quality, reliability, traction, impression and price - they cost £30k more new and have strong initial residuals (sub 3 years) which helps a lot further down the road. They are like the DB9 in just getting down to a price where they sit as long as the car is well maintained and not silly on miles.

That looks like a nice car and the price is not unreasonable if a little on the high side. I'm with Benny, try a cheeky offer and see where it leads you.

Thanks chaps, have spoken to them about it, and sounds interesting. I need to find time to zip down to view.

Oh, what did maserati change to the cc box, and how is it better?

If the history and condition stack up what's not to like? IMHO it's not that high for a retail price, especially if you can get a decent warranty thrown in.

They say they will offer 3 months / 3000 miles as part of any sale. Beyond that I suspect Im looking at a 3rd party job.......or just stash some cash away every month in my mattress!
It's apparently has been serviced by Maranello, JCT, Prospeed and Giallo, but I need to see the detail etc.

Anyway looks interesting, but I also need to look at a few more so I can get some comparables.

Hi

Looks really nice, same colour scheme as mine :) friends love it.
Mine has done just over 50k it's is my every day car, I paid less than that one, however that's nearly 20k less...and once the secret gets out as to how good these cars are, I think we all hope that the prices will rise, which is good for owners but bad for buyers !
Just check the clutch, mine had a new one just before I bought it at 49k £2600 and I've spent £3k on mot, servicing, tyres and discs ( purely cosmetic)
If you can get a little off the price and you like the car I'd go for it ! Like my wife said after looking at a few, ( she and the kids hated some of the gaudy colour schemes) just buy it and enjoy it or you'll be putting it off forever.
As was said earlier, what else can you get for the price of a new fiesta? That's what I set out to buy before I saw these beauties!

For comparison there is a 53 plate 55k mls ... identical colour up for £12,995 on auto trader... no doubt you've spotted it... from the pics it looks to have been loved... and thats whats important with these....
Never been a fan of the silver on that model - but lots of others are.. the Bordeaux interior tho is cool and very easy to live with.. tho better with black carpets IMO...

If I were looking for one right now .. It's the Red over Cream one with 46k on the clock which would catch my eye at £15k...

You'd expect a FSH with these.... main dealer or independent not an issue.. what I like to see is the trail of "advisories" after each service / mot... look then to see if they were dealt with... if not the issue may still be there waiting to bite you...

Good luck... and keep us posted...

So true - I was amazed how my wife actually pushed me into buying mine. (Think she was just fed up with me going and looking at cars every weekend probably...)

Masers have other effects on the female fraternity - plenty of posts describing these on the forum.
I love that red leather - bit ott (imo) with the matching carpets but very unusual - it wouldn't put me off buying one though

Sorry Greybloke ... just looked again ... It's a manual... Some will be keen ..and cheaper on clutches apparently.... but not quite as much fun as the CC box... check out the Gransport in Lincoln... looks like it ought to be a soft price ...
