Well the car came in from Oxford for suspension work and a service .
After exporting this he asked us to service it and he took it away but I had to get him to sign that he was told the car is dangerous and shouldn’t be on the road .
Clearly, the owner is intent on dumping this car on some unsuspecting individual, no doubt with a 12 month mot from a shady garage or just a forgery.
Surely this is criminal intent.

Care to share details Marios?

Not so easy for Marios to do that guys as a business owner.
Always if you're looking to buy a Maserati do your research and get it looked at by a knowledgeable and reputable technician.
Buyer beware or play Russian Roulette ;)

We will look out for it our end too. Marios, PM me the chassis. The plate may be changed to hide its identity

Do we know if the owner is a long term owner or they have just bought it and been sold a lemon

Too far gone to hide that one Mike.
Depends who's looking.
Friend last year bought a classic 2 door Range Rover for £15k.
He took it to a very well know specialist for a few items sorting, and a general inspection, all okay.
A few months later went for its MOT and failed due to chassis filled with expanding foam, skimmed over and undersealed.
He sold it as a project for £5k. Ouch!
Couple of months later was back on ebay and sold for over £10k.
No way had the necessary work been done, ie, new chassis!

When something is that dangerous, surely there should be something like an MOT cancellation to ensure that cars in this state never see the road.
That way they have to be fixed, or the car crushed.

It never rains...it pours...

Had someone drive into my GT a few weeks back - honest chap who waited for me to return and exchange details. Finally got approval from his insurance to get mine repaired at Giallo (c.£6k) - also thought I'd sort a few bits whilst it's in.

Got a call yesterday saying there is a hole rotted in the subframe! Especially gutted as I had a PPI and subsequent treatment and prevention but it seems even that was not enough.

Trying not to lose the love currently.

Speaking with Eurospares and A.S about a replacement - any other places worth calling?

To be fair I would be speaking with whoever did your inspection and the treatment given if not that long ago.
