Hi, my nephew has bought an 4.7 GT MC shift and wants me to read his clutch wear. As the launch works with 7mm do I work out clutch wear the same as a 4200 5.62 or has the MC got a thicker clutch plate.
Any help would be appreciated.

Depends which version number of the launch software you have. Older versions had the wrong calculation. If i recall vetsion 11.20 onwards is the correct calculation and will show you the wear percentage in the software without having to calcualte it by hand.

Thank you I don’t think I have used it on my spyder for about 9 months and I think I have the 11.25 software as an update came up for 11.30 a few weeks back telling me to renew my subscription.

Don’t mean to question but Just checked my launch and it has 11.65 on it an the update is 11.70
When I first got the launch 2 1/2 years ago I worked out I had 20% clutch wear but now showing 18% and I have used .11 of my clutch think they may still be using 7mm

Ye 1.28 divided by 7 x 100 = 18.28
Should be showing 22.78 for 5.62

Finally found a video on here about working out clutch wear on a QP clutch being 5.6.
Thank you

This was using an in dependent's machine on my Granturismo MC, can't remember which machine, but using your 5.62 mm my calc would be 21.93-19.92=2.01
2.01 ÷ 5.62 ×100= 35.77 %

This was using my X431 pro mini a few months later, so I'd say the software settings seem correct in comparison.

Note- this was software V11. 5

Ive done another reading this year on V11. 55 and I'm now at 37.5% worn.

Right thank you Sam McGoo so on the granturismo they are using 5.62mm as Spkennyuk said about the update but on my 4200 there still using 7mm.

Well we connected the launch today to his MC and has been so lucky as it has less than 18% wear and drives very positive, gear changes are spot on and brake discs all like new.

One thing though is the launch read the pis and said it was set to 392 but the launch could only change this up to 360 what does yours say Sam

My PIS was set at 3.93 too for the first few years I owned it.
I had a few issues with it occasionally dropping into N when cold. Matt (conaero) advised the PIS should be 4.19.
I tried various PIS settings, but ended up at 4.30, where its been ever since. I made all the adjustments and relearns on the Launch.
I've done thousands of mile since, and it's been flawless.

So should be able to adjust the pis above the 360 limit with the launch x431 pros mini
