Oh and it was a 200 year old stone bridge. It's still there for another 200 years by the look of it!

If you can find second hand stuff then no, but even they are gold dust mate.

Note to all that have agreed value insurance. Make SURE you get a realistic valuation so you can repair your pride and joy not just get a pay out of the purchase price as that is just the tip of the iceburg.

Thanks Peter, that is a really good tip, unfortunately it appears that anyone would have to get an agreed valuation on the insurance of twice, or even three times the cars real value, just to get the insurance to consider a repair to it.

Cheers

Think i would be down there late and night with a hammer and chisel and weaken one of the buttresses just to get my own back hahaha, if you have the time Pete might be worth breaking it yourself , or perhaps keep David in the loop can i ask by pm what you were charged to keep the salvage

The car has already gone, sold it to Andy Heywood at McGraths last week. David (Askew) had first dibs but said they would offer more, and he was right! A top bloke and should be recommended to all..

Does the assessors report show salvage value of £2100 ?

That is a lot of parts for the money even as a breaker, i would have been tempted to bid against McGrath's and David for that. Good seats, rear bumper interior trim etc etc. Some engine parts would still be useable.
