Angola has a machete too with a section of a cog wheel in a hammer and sickle stylee. If you don't accept machete go to central London...

The Constitution of Angola specifically states that the machete is to represent the agricultural peasantry, so I'm going to rule that this is a farm implement, not a weapon, in the context of this flag. Hammers and sickles are out too.

To stop daverichardson from just naming every country in Africa, I think I'm going to award it to zagatoes30 for getting 2/7 right. With an honourable mention for 2b1ask1 for getting Oman, which I did not know (and I have updated Wikipedia accordingly), and for midlifecrisis' sister-in-law for getting the obscure Guatemala.

  2. is Madras (I think) which is also Danish for 'Mattress'.
  3. is Astana, Kazakhstan.
