Although I wonder if it was actually Marie Curie as (sans googling) I recall something about films in desks. My memory is telling me Roentgen was credited with the first medical use of x-rays. Not their discovery.

But I'm probably completely wrong

I was going to say the one that was flooded badly a few years ago.

It was in 2004, I think it’s turned out quite well as it seems to have led to a lot of investment. Apparently the Sea Kings of the Royal Navy and RAF winched up 150 people that day with the only injury being an old lady who broke her finger!
