If US based (and not a Jeep or Corvette) then I’m going to suggest either a Ford (maybe a truck), a Cadillac, or a Chevy... they are all very long-standing motor manufacturers, who have survived due to the massive subsidies and scale of the US Market...

To make a guess, I’m going to say a Ford F series.

the only yank older motors I know of are from the "fast n loud" series, chevy, dodge, ford

Its not just he manufacturer its is the full car name e.g. Morgan 4/4, Ford F Series, VW Beetle, Ford Escort etc.
