Number 5 is Dick Van ****.

Tom and Dick were the two tunnels.

Ives and Ramsey were both officer / pows.

Virgil was the cooler king.

The connection is The Great Escape.

Over to you for the next question.

Feck forgot Hilts name was Virgil. I had 5 as Eric Ashley-Pitt played by David McCallum based on Eric Dane playing Dr Mark Sloan in Greys Academy

Ok following the same pattern, 5 questions but it is the link that is the answer to this QOD

1. 1940 film set to 8 pieces of classical music
2. Large seabird found mainly in the Southern Ocean and North Pacific
3. Capital of Australia
4. The Brightest star in the constellation Ursa Minor
5. First Rolls Royce to use a unitary body and chassis construction

What links all the answers?

Is question 1 Fantasia ?
The only film i can think of thats set to classical music pieces from the 1940s. I'm sure there are loads of others but nothing else springs to mind.

That doesnt help me with the connection.

Canberra and polaris are both classes of ship / subs. Thats as far as i got.

Oki dokes. French "Sable" wines are almost unique in the Country. Why?
For a bonus point which other Country can be linked for the same reason?

Time for a clue. Sable vines are grown in particular conditions. Although different to the "other" country the conditions or terroir has a similar effect.

Well the French word 'sable' means sand, so I'm guessing vines grown in sandy conditions, or maybe even at the beach. Now I'm thinking of sand I'm wondering North Africa, or maybe Lebanon....
