Another QP on Pistonheads brave pill. They say no real gaps in the service history. Now being serviced in 2013 and then not until 2022 seems like a pretty big gap to me. Stuck in Sport all the time but 8k is so much car for very little cash.

The final paragraph is frustrating speculating it might be a typo of freudian slip as we probably all know that is very much the humour of Duke of London and his entire stock is essentially The Brave Pill and he admits it.

If anyone has a QP around the £10k mark for sale, let me know. I’d love another one as a weekend toy.
Hi Kincath, I believe I may have the one you owned it’s on a private plate now… selling it now but not at 10k unfortunately for you, just spent close to 6k on it and wow what a car it is.

It looks like ****. I reckon there’s better for less. There’s certainly a lot better for just a bit more.

No agree. At the moment there are 6 QP’s on AT all 10k and under. This one looks a better bet.

And this Sport for 8k as well with 68k on the clock. Clearly all would need a bloody good inspection but so much car for the money.

All the Sports seem to have black interiors and no sunroof :(

They did as standard I believe. Sunroof wouldn’t bother me to be honest. I think they thought black leather and carbon interior on the sport added that sport feel.

Probably.

I was thinking about getting a GC or GT once I’ve sold the race car but after ******* up my arms I’ve had a bit of a priority shift, I guess we feel less immortal post 40! So after sorting the conservatory and a new bathroom I reckon I’ll have enough left for either an Alpina B3 or an earlish QP. The only non-negotiables for me are a sunroof and non-black interior.

Wait till you hit 50, then see 60 rapidly approaching...! It's actually making me want another Maser even more though, not less, despite flesh and bones going sky west and crooked more often these days.

This thread is one of several I peruse daily as a matter of habit ;)

I don't think that can be a Sport GT S-A(auto?). That looks like a Sport GT DS to me. If I'm not mistaken all Sport GT S were Auto, a very small number with 4.2 in 2007/8 and then 4.7 from facelift onwards.

Yep DS Sport or is it. It’s got the wrong wheels. How can you tell for certain that it is a Sport?

That is interesting as at first I thought that they got it wrong because of the wheels and it was an Exec GT but the front grill is Sport GT, the wheels are Exec GT but it has no picnic tables in the back or the window blinds which were part of the sexed GT. Could be a standard car but looking at the brochure they kept the old slat grill on the standard car along side the Exec and Sports grill. Also you could spec these wheels on the sport as an option so this could be a sport.

Definitely not an Auto but I have noticed some seem to list the DS as auto as they think it is an auto with paddles. I don’t think they are saying it’s a Sport GT S though as the S-A at the end is how you see the Maserati QP written on lots of blurb.

So for example:

Quattroporte Due Select S-A
Quattroporte Sport GT S S-A
Quattroporte Exec GT S-A

Not sure what it means but I am sure someone will know.

I wasn’t even looking at that, more that it wasn’t a Sport GT S. But looking at the trim it’s a standard car. No carbon trim, no “Sport GT“ on the B pillar outside and difficult to see but I don’t think Red on the Maserati emblems. It does have the Alu pedals but that may have been an option? It’s difficult to tell as you could make so many changes…

“The Quattroporte Sport GT variant offered several performance upgrades: a re-configured transmission providing faster gearshifts and a firmer Skyhook suspension system; courtesy of new software calibrations, seven-spoke 20 inch wheels with low-profile tyres, cross-drilled brake rotors, and braided brake lines. Model-specific exterior trim included dark mesh front and side grilles and red accents to the Trident badges, as on vintage racing Maserati models. Inside, there were aluminium pedals, a sport steering wheel and carbon fibre in place of the standard wood inserts”

@Burf22 has what looks like a Sport GT but I'm a bit confused

- Has Sport GT on the B pillar and the remains of red stripes in the C pillar emblems
- Can't recall any red in the grill emblem
- Has sport GT wheels
- Has Sport GT grill (Black mesh)

But it's a 4.2 Auto and does not have Sport GT labelling above the glove box, only Quattroporte

Do such animals exist? I thought that all the Sport GT's were DS?

Happy to be educated!
