Thanks, and I thought so if going after the DuoSelect...of which I'm two minds. Auction still running for a few more days...so holding fire for now. Other factor is it's in Washington state, which is approximately 2400 miles away by air...so shipping won't be cheap.
DS may not be the easiest to live with if you drive a lot in city traffic but to me serves well as a special weekend toy with gearbox mounted on the rear axle and dry sump engine. A four door Ferrari!

Yeah...don't need it as a daily, thankfully...but definitely seems like a good time!

Fly out, drive back. What could possibly go wrong?

I would definitely be in for that if I had the cash.
******** to airports
Went for 29k plus fees, so about 31k I guess.

With it being LHD (even though it has rhd headlights) I imagine it will be heading back to Europe. They do seem to value them considerable higher over there though.

Does make me wonder why it was auctioned here. Seller seemed willing to convert headlight to lhd, although I am not close to the European market at all so not sure how much he would have achieved in Europe.

I was surprised it went so high considering it was a lhd car

Maybe the seller didn't want the risk nor the hassle.

Looking at the price, seems quite probable that it will head towards Europe indeed, either directly (European buyer) or indirectly (buyer is willing to take the risk and hassle and intends to sell on the continent.

Very nice car in any case!

Phil in France is looking for a QP lives and I believe prices are double what they are here so I would agree with you that they may have been better off selling in Europe.

Spotted this.. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/387119083802647 can't work it out... say's its registered as a Sport GTS, but its a 4.2 old shape, with skyhook, but newer ZF gearbox...
It’s the original Sport GTS. So the original shape and 4.2 engine, but compared with the standard car of that time, lowered fixed-rate suspension, bigger wheels, body-coloured door handles, black window surrounds and various other tweaks. Typically also with more alcantara inside, such as seat inserts and steering wheel.
This car must have had the exhaust back boxes changed, as the tips should be black.
They are lovely to drive, and I only sold mine as I became bored of the auto box and preferred that duo-select option.
Here’s mine:15367AAA-9802-419D-B68C-7F9400939AE6.jpeg
