Ah right Dicky - mine has them, and I thought I'd read they were a standard fit on Exec, option on others. Thanks for the update!

I might have to drive the
wife's Fiesta into work tomorrow to avoid the jealousy and resentment

Welcome.

I don't think so. In nearly two years' ownership I've had nothing but respect and thumbs-ups from others. There are few marques out there as universally loved as Maserati.

I saw your car on Richard's site - nice. You're going to love it.

Where do you guys get your tyres from

Where are you? McGraths matched the online retailers' prices for me and it was an awful lot easier to let them deal with it than having monster tyres (they are truly big) delivered to my home then having to cart them around to a tyre-fitters.

Does yours have cooling seats Michael? Didn't realise that and I sold it to you!

Thanks chaps for all your replies - I can confirm my car has the ZF gearbox and today I noticed the seat belt warning buzzer gives up after a short time
so no big deal there - I think I read somewhere else the GT has a different exhaust pipe or x pipe not sure where it was but the noise on startup is glorious just cruising home in the rush hour you do develop a feeling of superiority (maybe that's just me)

Hi, congrats on the car.

You can change the volume of the warning buzzer in the set up menu. Only messed with it twice in last 5 years so can't remember exact menu location. Not hard to find though.

One thing I have noticed is that cars are advertised as Exec or Sports when they are not...ou can always tell as the both have either Exec or SPort badges on the B pillers......

Though beware - the "Sport GT" and "Executive" badges can be purchased retrospectively and simply stuck on. I've just taken some "Sport GT" badges off a 1999 Ghibli GT that I bought last month, as affixed by the previous owner.

Voted the coolest car on the planet by GQ magazine :boss:

Does it really have the same engine as the Ferrari 430

Has anyone on here fitted a tubi or larini exhaust

My current QP has a Tubi exhaust. My previous one didn't. If my old one had been fitted with one I well may not have sold it. That's how much difference it makes.

Somewhere on here and YouTube is a brief clip of my car on start up, and even now (a year on) it makes me laugh.

Don't forget that Tubi are made in Modena, just down the road from the Maser factory. So if you're looking for a sports exhaust, it's the loyal choice as well as the correct choice.

Second coolest... ;)

No Old Bean... If you recall the video I posted some time ago, and I'm pretty sure you will... The blonde Russian lady with the bountiful chest definitely said QP drivers were the coolest. I rest my case :)

Hello everyone 2 weeks in still not seen another Maser on the road am I the only one ?

Few more questions :

Is the slot on the dash console for an SD card ? if so what type as my card does not fit

Are the doors soft close ? they seem to resist a slam but then don't close properly either

The key fob is horrible - no eye hook to put on a key ring and so cheap looking - how do you cope ?

Anyone else got a parrot (never even noticed it before) how does it work ?

Despite all the above still loving it :happy2:
