New electrical gremlin. Following a disconnect of the battery I cannot set the clock. I can set the date part of it but not the time. It lets me change the digits but as soon as you hit the accept button it reverts back to the wrong time. Any ideas guys?

Needs to be plugged into diagnostic and may be fixable, if not, £1500 for new clocks :(

This drove me mad for years until I realised that I was doing it wrong. It seems, with the Basic/GPS Time option checked, that you need to input the exact date. Either that or wait until 12 o'clock to reconnect the battery!

I have input the exact date, it is happy to take that. Roberto at Grimaldi said he was reluctant to plug in his diagnostic machine with the time wrong as it could upset the on board computer!
For clarity the analogue clock says the same time as the digital one and both move along at the same pace.
I had thought about disconnecting the battery for a few hours until the appropriate time to reconnect it. Seems madness to have to do that though!
Any more input guys?

When I recently changed out my battery
I had several goes at setting the time, no matter what I put in it just went to a different time
different times too if you see what I mean.
Then I came out altogether from settings, went back in again and it worked
Sorry don't know why!

I had the same issue, I unticked the use gps/timebase option and it then set fine. You could always use the interior light buttons to set the oval clock to the right time

Just tried to adjust my clock for summertime on my QP
Adjusted the hour ok
I tried to adjust the minutes because it did not match the analogue.
It happened to read 08 minutes and when I went to reduce it to 05 minutes it jumped to 38 minutes!
So I put it back to 08 and left it. I will live with the small offset between the digital and the analogue rather than risk Italian gremlins

The GT has an option to sync to satellites for the minutes.

That doesn't work either.

Not only me, then. Bizarre that the two clocks don't sync so I suppose we shouldn't be surprised that it always gets the wrong sat time as well.

Phil, I'd disconnect the battery for a while, remind it who's boss.

I have to set my QP GTS clock at 44 mins past the hour. It lets me change the hour, but not the minutes. Hence my once-an-hour oportunity.

Much easier on the QP EVO as that has a real Maser gold clock. Old school.

Drove me mad for years! Discovered that I needed to set everything, and go through every option, including date, in order for the time to set properly.

I have given up on mine, just ignore it now. Utterly rubbish, I have tried everything suggested and as soon as I set it, I turn my back and it changes itself back to a wrong time.

Does anyone elses manual clock on the dash spin round resetting itself every now and then as if it is syncing to the RDS clock?

Yes, if it has been left parked long enough. Needs a couple of weeks or thereabouts to do it.
