Is this an involved job?
I know Maserati parts are usually expensive...as the costs of these fluid filled rubber mounts follows that pattern....
Thanks

What are the symptoms suggesting replacement and what mileage? Mine has just clicked over 70k so just run in (but obviously worthless....)

50k miles...
While changing the oil filter I noticed that one of the engine mounts was in close proximity.
I pressed the rubber portion of the mount and noticed that fluid came out...
Therefore I presume the mount needs replacing???

Putting 2 and 2 together......a bit of rough idling is coming into the cabin. In a previous thread I asked about my headlight beam being slightly jittery......after gaining access to the headlight unit there is no signs of anything loose...

So I am thinking that the vibration of the engine is not being fully isolated..

Now this is something I have done successfully for myself on my own car and I'm pleased with the results especially as engine mounts for a Porsche are extremely expensive so I thought I'd do what professional drifters do and I have put automotive polyurethane that I bought from my paint supplier into my mounts and they look factory as the polyurethane is black and work exactly as they should.
Both mine leaked all over the floor when I removed the gearbox to do the IMS seals.
Hardest part is getting rid of all the fluid and getting the inside clean.
I wouldn't do it for customers as a Garagiste but for my own cars it's a job well done.
I await the criticisms now ;)

No vibrations at present but something for SportsItalia to keep an eye on!

Giallo advised me that one of my mounts had lost its oil (2013/14k miles) but it wasn't worth doing. I have noticed a very slight noise at low speed when putting on or taking off throttle.

I need the cam cover gaskets done at the next service anyway, so might just get them done at the same time as everything has been disassembled.
