Hi and welcome, its not one I have done before, but it will be the usual mix of hidden screws and pop studs/christmas tree push fittings.

Get yourself a tool to prise the pop studs, it will save you breaking them all and look for hidden screws behind blanking trim plates.

It sounds like the rod connecting the handle to the catch has come off or snapped off its mounting at either end.

I have looked in the workshop manual and there is not guide to remove this.

Enz525 will be along shortly, he might be able to help.

Hi spartacus007, and welcome to the forum.
Sorry to hear about your problem, it is a known issue and more than likely the plastic clip has broken,
sometimes they can be fixed depending on where it has snapped...

I do have the procedure for removing the door card...but I have not performed this myself, so do this at your own risk.
I do have pics as well, probably not needed, but let me know if you want me to post them.

Disconnect the negative terminal from the battery. (Note you will need the radio and CD code when reconnected).

1) Remove the wooden snap-fit moulding (very tough to come off, and have to be careful not to break it).
2) Remove the snap-fit handle cover.
3) Remove the snap-fit rear view mirror cover.
4) Remove the retroreflector.
5) Remove the snap-fit floorlight lamp and detatch the conector.
6) Undo the door panel screw behind the handle.
7) undo the 2 screw fastners behind the door panel (mirror).
8) Undo the screw behind the retroreflector.
9) Release the lower part of the panel (pull fwd) and slide upwards
10) Disconnect the bowden cable for the door opening control.
11) Disconnect the 2 power window ECU's
12) Disconnect the door wiring

Check the 9 retaining pins and replace any that are broken.

Assembly is the reverse of the above.

Regards,
Enzo.

I am about to do this one myself. been running for a while with most door fixings removed, while summoning the courage to actually pull it off.

Will report back later. God help me.
