Voted for the QP obviously bust must say for performance the M6 is **** of a car for 10 to 15k.......OK not pretty but that V10.

I was able to witness both M6 and QP rushing past side by side. On full chat you can hear QP coming towards you and going away is a very different level altogether.
The M6 was mostly tyre noise coming in and and going away.
The M6 was very neat and modern inside and cabin was high spec. The backseats are as spacious as in a Porsche so very limited room. But it was visibly quick. It is a good buy but I don't know if it has as much appeal as a CLS AMG spec Merc.

I had a 645 and it was a great car....Plenty of room in the back for my 9 and 6 year old...Adding a V10 would just add to the appeal...but....not over a QP

To be fair did the M6 have an exhaust mod? I can assume from your statement not a chance. If it did have a Eisenmann or a silencer delete like my old one it would have made yours sounds positively muted! The V10 engine is Epic, multiple winning "Engine of the year" and it is a real peach. I've never driven anything that is just so on cam and right!

Phil, I do take your point on M6 being standard. But M6 is a standard M while the QP was not the S or Sport version.
Having said that, I followed an M4 the other day on a little moped and it sounded very mean. I have no idea if it had an exhaust change but the YouTube ones do not sound as mental.

Yep it is - but how many goes with launch control (why on a road car) do you get per clutch.

There was one at the meet we went to in October - Fantastic looking car in an amazing Blue!!!

It's not as easy as that!

The problem with launch control on a car with a warranty is that BMW can refuse to do warranty worked based on the number of launches used (the cars ECU records them, a few are fine and ignored but tens of them are not!). I used mine once and as Andy says it is really just a novelty thing, sure it launches you to the Horizon at a rate of knots but the car is biblically quick anyway!

Yeah I know Phil, the one at the show in October was amazing, the owner had obviously prepared it well, looked like gloss paint and sounded really good, I followed him for the 15 minute crawl in. I did think about one but the potential costs (servicing etc) scared me off - go figure - I ended up with a Maser. lol..

I think you made the right choice but I don't regret having mine, it was great. I had an M6 and an M5 Touring and both were excellent cars. The main gripe was small fuel tank and 11MPG!!!!

Ouch - think you are right - 11mpg - must be amazing though knowing you can leave most cars standing in an estate!!!

Too many cars and not enough life, or rather cars that are affordable for me now!!!

Also considered an XKR but was jolted by MAF asking my age....lol

Very nearly bought the V10 M6 myself before the Maser.
Decided it was just another BMW in comparison and was simply not special enough as a fun second car.
