Hi. I’m sure this may have been covered before but I recently had a flat battery on the QP to jump started it fine. Discovered that the driver door electric handle does not work. The manual one does. I have reset the battery and done the “lock, unlock then boot “reset for the body via the fob. I can hear the micro Swtich clicking. So annoying as o know it maybe an electronic glitch. Whne I hold the open button on the fob all the windows and sunroof open except for the drivers door so for some reason it’s not talking to the rest of the car.
so your thoughts would be welcome.

How long did you leave the battery off for?

I left it off for 30 mins then reconnected it. Didn’t cure the issue.

I can hear the micro Swtich clicking in the door handle .

I may have to check the fuses but it wouldn’t be isolated to the drivers door would it ? When I lock the car the door alarm light doesn’t come on at all.

Below is an extract from a door handle and window issue post. I would also put battery on charge or replace, as we all know lower voltages are a Maserati achilles heel. You may well find it just starts working.

"One thing you could check first is to do a battery reset. These cars are very voltage sensitive. Turn the battery off for an hour or longer, let the system recharge then reconnect and check. Remember to leave the boot open whilst the battery is off."

Just check that the black lever within the inside of the handle is moving. Can get stuck in the pulled in position and mess things up.

On my QP V one of the first symptoms of a 'low' battery is usually failure of the front passenger door lock. By 'low' I don't mean a knackered battery, just lack of use for a few days, and it usually recovers after a decent run. Masers do tend to be voltage sensitive, and I suspect a sluggish lock mechanism is likely to complain before anything else. Keep tabs on the battery condition though and if it's an old one, or suspect, change it before you get stranded.

Have you tried looking at your door lock settings on the set up screen as I had a problem with mine for ages ( rear doors though ) & finally fixed it by ticking all boxes, might be worth a try

Thank you all for your prompt replies. It will probably correct itself once i drive it but it’s just annoying. Its a new battery but I made the mistake of not topping it up or driving it. I’m taking it for some works to aportsiitalia in feb so hopefully they will reset everything.

When you say the microswitch, I assume you mean the solenoid in the door trying to unlock? The switches in the door won't be activated by the remote.

I had this last week when the RAC replaced my battery. Exterior electric door switches didn't work at all for about 30 minutes and through several locking and unlocking cycles. But then they suddenly stared working ok again. It's a mystery. Sorry not to be more help.

The battery swap also killed my parking sensors, which had been as good as gold for several days in a row.

It’s fine .. i know what low battery does to these cars as I have had it since 2014. Just stupid of me to let the charge run down.

Yes when I press the electronic switch on the handle I can hear the little ticking ! I’ve since found out that there is no power to the drivers window too or the electronic door release. No red or green light flashing on the door when the fobs engaged. I suspect when I tried to jump it with a power pack I may have stuttered the power to it as it was working when I had just minimal charge on it. I’m sure it needs a plug in diagnostic to sort it all out. I can use the manual release atleast. Hardly drive it with the windows open in winter anyway
